TOTAL NUMBER OF VISITORS
Three thousand two hundred and thirty nine (3239) visitors arrived in Seychelles during the week ending Sunday 25th July 2010. This brought the total for the last four weeks to 12797 visitors, which was 6% above the 2009 level. The average figure for the last four weeks was 13% above the average for the same period of the last five years.
VISITOR ARRIVALS BY COUNTRY OF RESIDENCE
Year to date
The year to date figure for 2010 shows that 96470 visitors arrived in Seychelles. This figure was 13% above the 2009 figure (85748). The year to date figure was 20% above the average for the same period of the last five years. Increases were recorded above the 2009 level in visitor arrivals from Europe (7%), Africa (27%), Asia (57%) and Oceania (28%) while America decreased by 11%.

VISITOR ARRIVALS BY PURPOSE OF VISIT
During the last four weeks the number of visitors on holiday was 5% above the 2009 level. The number of visitors on business or combining business with a holiday was 10% below the 2009 level and the number in transit was 33% above the 2009 level.

The number of holidaymakers visiting Seychelles in 2010 was 10% above the 2009 level. The number of visitors on business or combining business with a holiday was 13% above the 2009 level and the number in transit was 70% below the 2009 level.
