Air Seychelles to Rebrand International Fleet
Thursday, 07 October 2010

"Air Seychelles is to rebrand its international aircraft fleet soon so as to modernise its image and promote the Creole Spirit," said the national airline’s executive chairman Captain David Savy during the company’s annual general meeting, in the presence of President James Michel, at the International Conference Centre yesterday afternoon. Also present were Home Affairs, Environment and Transport Minister Joel Morgan, Foreign Affairs Minister Jean-Paul Adam and Seychelles Tourism Board chief executive Alain St Ange. Other high government officials and the airline’s board of directors also attended. During the ceremony, awards and certificates were presented to long-serving staff, and excellence awards to those who have gone the “extra mile” at work. Capt Savy showed the new design for the planes, which highlights features of Seychelles such as our underwater and other wildlife. He added that as of this month, all Air Seychelles staff will get an increase of 12.5% on their salary. “The increase in salary was requested by the airline’s main shareholder, the government,” he said. Mr Michel then presented long-service awards to two staff – Jones Camille from the finance department and David Monthy of the technical operations department – who have both worked for 35 years with the national airline.
